Udhaya Elangovan
I am a Bay Area resident, who hails from a universe of theories and rich culture. I am a licensed attorney to practice law both in India and California, USA. Before coming to the United States, I was practicing as a litigation Attorney for a decade at Law Offices of Justice G.R. Swaminathan at the High Court of Judicature Madras, India. I have handled a wide range of litigation matters relating to Real Property, Employment, Accident Claims, and Family Law. After arriving in the United States, I developed a deep interest into immigration law and served the immigrant communities to help them with their dream of life in America to come true. I have also served in mid-sized litigation firms in the South Bay and gained experience dealing with Personal Injury, Family law, Elder Abuse, Medical Malpractice and Unlawful Detainer claims. I also worked for Google on their legal investigations team as compliance counsel and advised the international team on data security and user privacy.
I am a zealous advocate for my clients providing attentive and strategic representation during a difficult time in their lives and also passionate about ensuring a seamless process, free of judgment, and filled with empathy for each client.
Accomplishments:
- I was appointed as an Advocate Commissioner by the Hight Court of Judicature Madras, Madurai Bench in a huge matter relating to labor, helped the Court to ascertain the facts and arrive at a decision, thereby protected the interests of hundreds of employees.
- Served as a secretary of the Women Lawyers Association back in India and participated in many legal aid camps and benefitted the community at large.
I have a great love for nature and pets. When I am not working, you can find me biking, hiking, running, swimming and enjoying my time with my brave son and beautiful daughter.
